New iPhone 6 Release Date
It is now being rumoured that the long-awaited iPhone 6 is being slated for release in mid-September. Alongside the release of this phone will be the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 8 which was previewed to developers earlier this year.
It has also being strongly hinted that Apple is planning to release two versions of the iPhone 6. One will be a smaller 4.7 inch model, while the other is a much larger 5.5 inch ‘phablet’. While the 4.7 inch model will be available immediately after the September announcement, it has been reported that the larger model has been delayed due to problems with the battery and other components. As a result, its release date is still up in the air.
New Retina MacBook
It has been some years now since Apple has released any significant new upgrades to its popular MacBook line, however this is all about to change. It is being rumoured that the company is now working on releasing a new 12-inch MacBook reported with a Retina display. The laptop will feature a thinner and lighter design, while using an aluminium case similar to the current MacBook range. Right now, it is unclear if the new computer will be branded as a MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook air.
4K iMac Display
While the Retina high-resolution display has been available on iPhones, iPads and MacBooks now for several years, it has so far yet to reach the iMac. This is also set to change, if recent rumours of a 4K iMac display are true. Apple is reportedly working on a much high resolution display for this computer, possibly integrated into the entire system, but also possible as a standalone display capable of linking to the computer through the Thunderbolt port.
