Mom Invents App To Force Children to Respond To Calls

Yes, really.

Ignore No More” is all that's wrong with society rolled into one app.

When a Texan mother was getting frustrated with her kids not returning her calls, she thought of a simple but brutal solution. Sharon Standifird invented an app that shuts your teenager's phone completely down, and renders it useless until they return your call.

You obviously don't want to mess with Standifird. The determined Standifird “got on the Internet and I literally just started researching how to develop an app,” she told the Washington Post.

According to the website, all parents have to do is enter their child's name and enter a four-digit code, and the life is zapped out of their smartphone. No internet, no games, no nothing. Just the ability to make an emergency phonecall, or actually, you know, call their parents back.

“I thought it was a good idea, but for other people, not me.”

Children won’t be able to uninstall or turn off the app either. If they try, their phone will be locked, and the parent will be contacted with an e-mail saying that the child was interfering with the app.

Hilariously, Standifird's son told ABC13,“I thought it was a good idea, but for other people, not me.” All I can say is that if this is modern parenting, I'm happy to be beyond its reach.
