The iPhone 6 has been launched to great fanfare, in part due to the success of Apple’s huge marketing machine. But when we move beyond branding and hype, is the iPhone 6 really that good? Sadly, no. In fact, in the past 6 months, we have been treated to a wide range of new Android flagships which are indeed much better devices. Check out our list below of 6 of these smartphones, better than Apple’s iPhone 6.
1. HTC One M8
Not only is this phone equipped with powerful stereo speakers, and a shaper display, the HTC One M8 also feature’s much more processing power than the iPhone 6. In addition it boasts a aluminium unibody design which is aesthetically unique.
2. Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Competing more with the iPhone 6 Plus, the 5.7 inch Galaxy Note 4, once again blows Apple’s device out of the water in terms of processing power and screen resolution. As well, it comes with an S Pen stylus to enable productivity focused actions through its customised Android OS.
3. Sony Xperia Z3
Unlike many other phones on the market, the iPhone 6 is not water resistant. But why settle for that, when you can buy the fully waterproof Xperia Z3. Not only can this phone shoot HD footage underwater, it can also beat the iPhone in most hardware specifications.
4. LG G3
With possibly the highest resolution screen on the market, the LG G3 is the phone to get if you think that the iPhone’s ‘Retina’ screen is just not enough. As well, as this bigger, and more pixel-dense screen, this LG flagship also features a more powerful processor and larger battery.
5. Google Nexus 5
While it was launched more than half a year ago, the Nexus 5 remains one of best Android phones on the market. Not only are almost all of its specs better than those of the new iPhone 6, at around $300 off contract, it also massively cheaper.
6. Samsung Galaxy S5
One of the most popular flagships on the market, the Galaxy S5 is also still one of the best. Once again, its hardware, and screen resolution is better than the iPhone 6, and should you be a wearables fan, it also can be used in tandem with any of Samsung’s new Gear smartwatch products.
