Although little has been revealed, LG claims that the G4 will feature a “quantum jump” in regards to the screen.

After numerous rumors, LG finally conceded and sent an invite for April 28, where they will unveil their newest flagship.

Although little has been revealed, LG claims that the G4 will feature a “quantum jump” in regards to the screen.

The new phone will sport a 5.5-inch IPS display with an incredible QHD (so 2560x1440 pixel) resolution, which has 120 percent color gamut, with a whopping 50 percent increase in contrast and a 30 percent increase in brightness as compared to “conventional QHD LCD” panels. Most importantly, however, is that LG promises that all this has been done with no decrease in battery life.

Basically this means a much brighter screen, with more vivid colors, deeper blackers, and overall improved image quality, even in bright/sunlight conditions.

The latest teaser video that was uploaded by the South Korean tech giant showcases the new UX 4.0 interface, which is more “human centered”.

It will also feature AIT or Advanced In-Cell Touch technology, which means the phone will have increased touch sensitivity and will function even after rain drops hit the screen.
