On Thursday Lenovo announced two brand new mid-range laptops that are prepared to compete against Microsoft’s Surface Pro hybrid.
The 14-inch Z41 and 15-inch Z51 laptops both have a standard display. Lenovo calls them “equal parts home-entertainment center and powerful workstation”. The display allows for optional discrete graphics and Dolby DS 1.0 surround sound.
Both also include 802.11ac, and will be powered either by the latest Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, and have up to 1TB of storage.
The Z51 will even be outfitted with a Intel RealSense 3D camera, which can capture depth as well, and can be used to scan 3D objects, play 3D games and can also control gestures for the laptop.
The Z41 and the Z51 start at $499, but the Z51 with the Intel RealSense 3D and Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM will start at $599. All devices hit the shelves this June.
