The Lumia 950 and 950 XL flagships will be the first handsets to feature the brand new Windows 10 Mobile operating system, and according to the leaks anyway, are serious competition for Samsung and Apple.
I have received on good word news of some excellent leaked specs!
It’s been pretty quiet on the Windows front for some time lately, but we know they’ve been prepping for the Windows 10 launch this fall.
Thankfully, though, that means good news for the rest of us.
New specifications for the upcoming Lumia 950 and 950 XL have made their way to the internet. These two flagships will be the first handsets to feature the brand new Windows 10 Mobile operating system, and according to the leaks anyway, are serious competition for Samsung and Apple.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 is rumored to have a fairly standard 5.2-inch screen, but with an incredible 2K resolution display, alongside a six-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 3,000 mAh removable battery.
For those that weren’t blown away by those specs (and also, what universe do you live in?), never fear: the Lumia 950 XL is here to contend with a 5.7-inch screen also featuring 2K resolution, with the now infamous octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 3,300 mAh removable battery.
By far these are the best specs we’ve ever seen on a Windows handset, and frankly, these specs are much better than some hyped flagships that are already on the market (side eyes go to you, Sony).
Even better (because right now, it’s actually possible), both handsets will have 32GB of internal storage as well as microSD expansion capacity, a 20 megapixel rear camera with a 5 megapixel front snapper, and a brand new USB Type-C port.
Wow. I am super impressed. And finally, Windows received the memo that you don’t give your flagships plastic bodies, because rumor has it these bad boys will be outfitted with slimline full metal ubibodies.
Say so long to the budget Lumias of the past, because Windows is back in business.
