Sure it will set you back around €15,000, but this eco-friendly electric watercraft has a completely silent motor and zero emissions which means you can even take it on lakes and rivers where boats are not allowed. And it’s completely unsinkable.
Even though the company went bust in 2011, it existed. It could hit up 60mph in just ten seconds and topped out at around 85mph. It flew and glided with the wind instead of against it, which is why this three-wheeled car is super cool.
3. Jet Pack
The H202 is fueled by hydrogen peroxide and can hit up to 77 miles per hour at 250 feet. The H202-Z can get up 3,300 feet, but only for 33 seconds.
4. Super Maglev Train
China and Japan already have Maglev trains that can go up to 260 miles per hour, but the next-generation of Maglev technology, known as super Maglev, will reach speeds of up to 1800 miles per hour. Apparently the train will be in a vacuum tube which reduces air resistance. This is a pretty similar idea to Elon Musk’s hyperloop.
5. Aerofex Aero-X
For those that want a real life Star Wars speeder bike, look no further. With a water-cooled 240 horsepower engine, it gets up to an altitude of 12 feet and speeds of 45 miles per hour. It is selling for $85,000.
6. Aeromobil 3
The world’s first flying car isn’t on sale yet, but it will be soon. After reaching a driving speed of 160km/h, it can then take flight, getting a top flight speed of 200km/h.
Hendo and Lexus both have real life hoverboards. The catch? They both use electromagnetic repulsion to float, which means a metal surface is very necessary.
BONUS: Lockheed Stratoliner
Designed to fly higher and faster than any plane in history, it switches off its engine for 20% of its flight and uses onboard computers to glide back to Earth, which saves on fuel. It's only a concept for now, though.
