Step down iPad Pro and Pixel C, says the all new Microsoft Surface Pro 4. The 12.3-inch display device comes with a brand new Surface Pen which even has an eraser on its end and a highly-improved keyboard cover. After claiming that the Surface Pro 4 will replace laptops, Microsoft ironically launched their Surface Book. With a machined magnesium body, detachable screen, 13.5-inch display, and a trackpadmade of glass, Microsoft claim it to be the ultimate laptop as of today. It bravely claim to be twice as fast as the 13-inch MacBook Pro with its discrete GPU and a very impressive battery life of 12 hours. Display is touch screen and weighs 1.6 pounds with 7.7 thickness. It comes with a tag price of $1,499.
With all these new offerings from Microsoft they are definitely reinventing the device categories as they say. They probably won't be getting a big bite of the market share through all of these but slowly the introduction of these new innovations will have an impact on how technology standards will be in the coming days.
