Windows 10 is particularly proud of Cortana and treats it as one of the quality features of the OS
It looks like Cortana, Microsoft's personal assitant software, is making its rounds from one OS to another and now arrives for Beta testing for Apple iPhone users. Earlier in August, Android users already gotten a taste of how it's like to be assisted by Cortana, and soon enough every iOS users will too.
Today, Microsoft finally came out with a survey to invite testers for the Cortana beta version for iOS which can be accessed through this link. The survey states that in the mean time, only U.S. and China testers can get a glimpse of their offering but will soon be available for other regions where Windows is used and supported.
Windows 10 is particularly proud of Cortana and treats it as one of the quality features of the OS with its voice-activated searches, ability to dictate SMS messages, track flights, place calls, set reminders and alarms, answers questions regarding movie show times, restaurants, sports scores, and other items.
iOS users are to expect that Cortana's abilities will be a bit limited as compared to what it can on Windows Phone
To date, the Android beta version had already 100,000 installation according to Google Play which proves that users were really happy with Cortana's service. iOS users are to expect that Cortana's abilities will be a bit limited as compared to what it can on Windows Phone like opening apps and toggling settings.
Even saying "Hey Cortana" might not wield the same result which it conveniently has on Windows Phone, but we'll see soon enough if Apple users will be happy to replace Siri or not with this Microsoft assistant.
