I was just praying that no one really tough was up for the role.
If there's someone who was willing to fight for a role in Quentin Taratino's eight movie, it will be no other than the Hollywood hottie Channing Tatum. During his interview at The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he admitted that he did everything to secure a role. Although his part in the film was kept under wraps, he certainly is part of the main cast if you check the IMDb page of the awaited cinematic comeback of the acclaimed director.
During the interview he confessed that he made sure no competition stands in the way. "I basically sent about an email a day for about a month just threatening any other actors that might be up for the role. I was just praying that no one really tough was up for the role." He said with a laugh. Tatum even added that he's thankful no one really took his challenge of being locked up in a room with other potential actors vying for the part, or else he might have faced Mike Tyson or whoever is willing to fight him.
Thankfully, Taratino chose him for the role proving those threatening emails he sent served their purpose.

The 35-year-old actor plays the character named Jody in The Hateful Eight which was previously played by James Remar of 'Dexter'. As he is overly excited to be part of the film and meet all the star-studded cast including the talented actor Bruce Dern who plays General Sandy Smithers, Tatum eagerly shook the older man's hand with gusto.
"I made this really dumb, overzealous decision and I pull him in really close, and this is at a table read, and I almost pull Bruce Dern out of his chair and he's like, 'You jerk! You almost pulled my arm out of the socket!!" he shares. The film is Tarantino’s new offering after his 2009 feature “Inglourious Basterds” and 2012 movie “Django Unchained.” The rest of the cast includes Samuel L. Jackson as Major Marquis Warren, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Daisy Domergue, Kurt Russel as John “The Hangman” Ruth, Walton Goggins as Sheriff Chris Mannix, Tim Roth as Oswaldo Mobray, Michael Madsen as Joe Gage, and Demian Bichir as Bob. It will be out in US Cinemas just in time for Christmas, December 25.
