Fitbit Ionic review: specs and price

The Fitbit Ionic is a GPS smartwatch made for those who want to take their fitness to the next level, with features that go beyond the basic activity tracking you get on cheaper devices. It can measure your distance, sure, but it will also track other metrics such as your elevation and pace to create a more detailed summary of your workout. These summaries are presented in a highly-polished app that’s available for both iOS and Android.

Other strengths of the Fitbit Ionic include the ability to track swimming (thanks to a waterproof rating of up to 50m) and a battery life of up to 5 days. If you’re the kind of person who likes to ditch their phone for a workout, the inclusion of offline music is a big plus.
