What most of us want at the end of a very long and tiring day is to cuddle up in bed, perhaps watch a little movie, or read a few articles online, and finally get ready for a good night's sleep. Should we consult a doctor? Take medicine? Or simply update your iPhone to the new iOS 9.3? Choose the latter and according to Apple, soon you’ll be sleeping like a baby.
Apple has announced its newest upgrade, the iOS 9.3, and it's now available for everyone! Just go to the general settings, and find the software update to download and install the latest version. Apple has modified some of the already existing features and added a few new ones that make its platform better than ever. Here are 3 reasons why updating to the new iOS 9.3 will help you sleep well tonight and every night.
1. Sleep will be extra comfy with the ‘Night Shift’ mode
Our night habits often include checking our phones for alerts or browsing the Internet before going to bed. But according to Apple and many scientists, using your electronic devices before bedtime is one of the main reasons we can’t fall asleep.
It’s always good to absorb a large amount of light during the day, but the blue light that is displayed by default on our devices makes our natural body clock believe that it’s always daytime, even when the clock suggests midnight. This blue light can actually interfere with our bodies’ production of melatonin, which is the important hormone that makes us sleep.
Apple has tried to resolve this problem by adding a ‘Night Shift’ mode to their newest iOS 9.3. This feature will automatically change the light display to an orangey hue that is very comfortable to look at, even in dimly lit spaces. Also, you wouldn’t want to light up a whole room while you’re playing games in the middle of the night, especially if you have a roommate. You’re not only improving your sleep but the sleep of those next to you might improve too!
2. You’ll Sleep Better Knowing That Your Private Notes Are Secured
One of the things that keep us awake at night is the concern about our safety. Before going to bed, the first thing we do is to lock our homes to protect us from intruders. With iOS 9.3 and a locked door not only are you safe from creeps; you can also sleep better knowing that your private notes are well protected too. Why? Because of the new password or TouchID access Apple lets you add to those notes you want to keep the most private! And to top that off the iOS will also allow you to sort the notes by date created, date modified, or alphabetically! Well, that makes everything so much easier and faster! Now you can sleep better knowing that you won’t spend hours searching for the right note tomorrow, nor will you wake up and see your secrets spilled by your phone to your lover.
3. Things Are Finally Organized Before Going To Bed
What’s the worst thing when you’ve just found a comfortable position and tugged yourself in? Needing the toilet. Yup. But something that’s pretty close? The sudden thought “Did I forget to…?” No way you can go to sleep when you realize you aren’t prepared for tomorrow. Well, now you can worry less about 3 things mentioned below because iOS 9.3 is trying to help you wake up well rested and ready for a new bright day.
First, the new update has modified the “For You” section on the Apple News app. This app is personalized with your interest and will give suggestions and trending topics that’ll spare you the time spent searching for what you want to know about.
Second, rest assured that your health is well monitored and your favorite health apps are organized. Categories such as Weight, Workouts, and Sleep have a new slider menu that smoothly reveals great apps you can easily add to your Health dashboard.
Last, you’re on your way to work or school and the iOS 9.3’s CarPlay picks the songs, artist, and albums to get your morning vibe on! And CarPlay now has the ‘Nearby’ feature in Maps, which lets you find gas, parking, and restaurants with a tap. The iOS 9.3 just made your mornings easier! Now, just lie down in bed, make yourself comfortable knowing that Apple wants you to sleep like a baby.
