While the plot of Taken 2 bordered a little on the ridiculous, Taken 3 appears to have a much wider scope. In this action thriller, Liam Neeson reprises his role as an ex-special forces soldier who must uncover a criminal conspiracy that framed him for the murder of his wife.
2. Interstellar
The latest film by Christopher Nolan, the acclaimed director of Inception and The Dark Knight features Matthew McConaughey as a reluctant astronaut searching for a new home for humanity. Strap in for an interesting mix of CGI and practical effects, in what is sure to be a mind-bending film.
3. Exodus: Gods and Kings
The latest biblical blockbuster to grace our screens, Exodus: Gods and Kings is a pseudo-historical epic with grand scope. Starring Christian Bale, and with director Ridley Scott at the helm, the is sure to be a hit of biblical proportions.
4. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
Jennifer Lawrence once again reprises her role as Katniss, in Mockingjay Part 1. The film takes a turn away from the reality TV inspired Hunger Games and more begins to resemble a futuristic war movie, as the rebellion against the oppressive Capital gains pace.
5. Blackhat
While depictions of hacking in films have been rather cliched, Blackhat, directed by Michael Mann seeks to change all that. Featuring Chris Hemsworth as a an ex-hacker turned government agent, this film seeks to show us all the Pandora’s Box which the internet has opened.
