At long last, the Apple Watch will finally make its debut this April. Long thought to be the first truly marketable wearable, the wristwear is sapphire-coated, and has consciously been labeled the Apple Watch, rather than the iWatch, in order to accentuate the stylish, geeky tech. With nine default watch faces and a total of 34 different variants, there is endless customization and personalization.
In either 38mm case size or a 42mm case size, there are also four different custom alloys, including stainless steel, aluminum, 18-karat yellow gold, and 18-karat rose gold. With many different kinds of bands, made from numerous materials, the watch can adapt to anyone’s needs. For the US market, the price will be $349, where it will be £223 in the UK and AU$403 in Australia.

In addition to sending and receiving calls, messages and emails, it will allow you to view thumbnails of your contacts. Connected to the calendar, maps, and reminders, you will receive notifications and alerts based on your personal life and schedule. You simply swipe to see your day planned in the calendar, as well as peek at the weather, stocks, a map of the current location and how to get to your next destination.
Also included is “Sketch”, which allows you to draw and animate something with your finger to send to your friend, who can then respond in kind. Similar to Facebook’s, you can also send your contacts a “Tap”, to let them know you are thinking about them, and customize the tap patterns for different people.
It also includes a Heartbeat monitor and sensor, and an Activity app that monitors your daily activity, that tells you how many calories you’ve burned and lets you make customized goals. It also has a Workout app, which informs you just how much time, distance, calories, pace and speed has gone into your workout.
