There is no doubt that Samsung and Apple have butted heads ever since; and there is no clear winner when you ask who's better. With Samsung's launch of the S6 Edge+, it seems the iPhone 6+ has met its latest match. Finally, there's a flagship-worthy smartphone that Samsung can contend against Apple.
What makes one better over the other? Here are 7 aspects you should consider:
1. Design & Display
Both phones feature premuim metal and glass materials, which makes both look cool and sleek. They both have fingerprint scanners embedded in their respective home buttons.
The S6 Edge+ has a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED dual display, while the 6+ is at 1920 x 1080 Retina HD display... making Samsung win this round I guess.
2. ProcessorIt's obvious that the Edge+ has a better processor than the iPhone, with its processor specs being 64-bit-octacore Exynos paired with a 4 GB RAM. Apple's A8 & 1 GB RAM are pretty okay. But Apple's processor speed is 1.4 GHz... 0.7 GHz slower than Samsung's.
Both OS are impressive; Samsung's being the Android 5.1 Lollipop, and Apple's iOS 8. Though iOS 8 has a minimalist approach & is easier to navigate, it lacks the customization and other smart features that the Lollipop can offer.
Apple's 8MP rear-cam & 1.2 MP front-cam is no match Samsung's 16 MP rear-cam (with OIS) & 5 MP front-cam. Samsung comes on top when it comes to its photo-taking abilities. Many say Samsung's camera interface isn't as pleasant as the iPhone's, but it can do things the other can't.
The S6 Edge+ comes with two storage variants, 32 & 64 GB; while as the iPhone 6+ comes with three: 16, 64, & 128 GB. Of course, prefering a larger storage equates to a bigger price tag.
S6 Edge+ is a clearer victor, given its sharper and color-accurate display. The 6+ has a lot to improve on. In terms of music, both phones are on equal grounds, even having their single speakers poorly placed.
Samsung's wireless and faster charging wins over Apple's. It can charge almost half its battery capacity in half an hour. Both smartphones roughly have the same capacity, with Samsung's having 75-100 mAh more.So who wins? It really depends on your preferences...on what you wanna see in a phone. In my case though, I'd have to give it to Samsung. Its awesome specs somehow puts Apple's iPhone to shame.
