Lets face it, everyone knows the top 10 best flagships on the market, or at least the top 5. The lesser known, but better budget rivals, however, get a lot less press. It is now common knowledge that there isn’t a huge amount of profits in flagships, because people only by the newest flagship every 2-3 years. Budget phones, however, are replaced often and don’t break the bank. Between flagships, mid-range, and budget phones, here are the top 8 budget smartphones under $200:

8. HTC Desire 510

Frankly, this is an incredible solid phone that is an excellent bargain. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor that hits 1.2GHz, which is sound. It has Android 4.4.2, and a removable (yes!) 2,100mAh battery that lasts way longer than most. Importantly, it also supports 4G, and has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It is a pretty normal sized, 4.7-inch phone - but with terrible resolution for the price, only 480 x 854. Also, it only has a rear camera, and even that is only 5 megapixels. However, this is great phone for internet junkies.

Going for $120.

7. Nokia Lumia 530

This little guy doesn’t get the respect he deserves. It is a Windows, don’t get me wrong - but it has a quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, which means it’s great for games and multitasking. However, that’s basically where the good news spots: What’s left is a 4.0-inch, 480 x 854 screen, with only a meager 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage. It has a 1,430mAh battery, and rear camera with a boring 5 megapixels, and no front camera to speak of. However, the price is still a winner.

Costing $78.

6. Nokia Lumia 735

The bigger, better sister. Brightly colored, it’s a 4.5-inch, 480 x 854 screen, with 512GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Also on deck is a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor that speeds along at 1.2GHz, alongside the Windows 8.1. Lastly, we have a 1,830mAh battery, and a 5 megapixel primary shooter, with sadly no front camera.

Priced at $95.

5. Motorola Moto E 2015

Still one of the most affordable handsets you can buy, the new version is running Android Lollipop 5.0, one of the only budget phones to do so. Meanwhile, it also has a 4.5-inch screen with 540 x 960 resolution, and 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. A surprisingly large 2,390mAh has also appeared, along with a 4GB connectivity. Lastly, and quite sadly, you only will get 5 megapixels out this one, and no front camera at all.

Running price is $150.

4. Huawei Ascend G6

With a 4.5-inch screen, and a pretty unspectacular 540 x 960 resolution, admittedly, it’s not much too look at. However, it is the cheaper version of the Ascend P6, and it has some cool features that prove it: 4G connectivity, with a solid 2,000mAh battery life, alongside a 8 megapixel rear camera, and a 5 megapixel (hello, selfies) front shooter. It has 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and runs on Android 4.3.

It costs $128.

3. Acer Liquid E3

Actually, it’s really kind of depressing that Acer doesn’t get more credit. This phone has excellent specs - basic 4.7-inch screen with 720 x 1280 resolution. It’s also packed with a MediaTek quad-core 1.2GHz processor, though, and has 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage. Much more importantly, it has a battery of 2,000mAh, and runs Android 4.2.2. Impressively, this phone boasts a 13 megapixel rear snapper, and a 2 megapixel front snapper. Honestly, for the specs it should cost more.

Running for $170.

2. Huawei Honor Holly

Second best on the list, this handset features a 5.0-inch screen with a fantastic 720 x 1,280 IPS display. More importantly there is a MediaTek quad-core processor that speeds along at 1.3Ghz. It also has 1GB of RAM, and and 16GB of storage. Also on deck is an 2,000mAh battery that lasts. It also sports an 8 megapixel affair, alongside a 2 megapixel selfie shooter.

Priced at $129.

1. LG Spirit

Debuted only this year at MWC, this device sports a 4.7-inch screen with a 720 x 1,280 resolution. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor that has been clocked at 1.2GHz. With 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage, the handset has an excellent battery life, with a 2,100mAh battery. It has an 8 megapixel primary shooter, with a 1 megapixel front facing camera. It boast Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

Currently at $188.
