Does anyone else have nostalgic memories of the twentieth century, with their horse-drawn carriages and instant cameras?

The no ink idea is pretty great, but it doesn’t come cheap. ZINK paper packs (2x3-inches) of 50 will set you back $24.99 on Amazon. However, take refuge in the knowledge that the backs have adhesive tape and also double as stickers (so much hipster, it hurts).

Isn’t it hilarious when tech companies do the same thing nearly 70 years later and people buy it? Polaroid’s instant camera first graced the planet back in 1948, and today at Berlin’s IFA conference, they just announced the Polaroid Snap, which is a digital camera that immediately prints a photo, without any ink.

This is kind of nifty, but considering it has been 70 years, I’m ready to swipe left on this one.

However, for this hipsters of this generation (which, let’s face it, is my entire generation) this is probably going to be a smashing success.

It has Zero Ink printing technology that was developed by ZINK, which replaces dye with ink. Basically, the camera uses a specific printing paper that has cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystals under a protective polymer coating, and ZINK-enabled printer inside the camera utilizes the crystals to create a bright, full-color photo.

The photos are itsy-bitsy size (again, appealing to the hipsters), and measure 2-inches x 3-inches in size (also known as “wallet size” back in the 1990s).

For those that are a little less hipster and believe that bigger is better, Polaroid Snap also manages 10 megapixel photos and has a microSD slot (up to 32GB of storage). It has some special filters, like color, black and white, and vintage, alongside a selfie timer, and a photo booth mode that can take six photos in 10 seconds.

It will hit shelves in the fourth quarter of 2015, for only $99 (perfect hipster price), and will come in black, white, red and blue.
