The world’s first drone entertainment show will premiere later this year in Amsterdam and will show us exactly what drones can do. The show, called Air 2015, has already released an official trailer, but all other details, such as exact date, are still unknown. The event will happen in the Amsterdam Area, and will attempt to bridge all of the formerly well-known uses for drones, such as photo taking, racing, and even drug smuggling. With the recent increase in popularity of drones, and the large demand for them currently, it makes sense that they would now even create a marketing space for entertainment.
In a statement from the website, the “high energy and explosive show, drones will take centre stage to bring a collaboration and fusion of music, video, projections and special effects. AIR allows you to experience a variety of ballet and battles, races and lasers, circus, illusions and most of all magic from hundreds of drones.”
According to the website, “Our World of AIR” is set to premiere this fall, and will include 3D effects. I don't know about you, but I am really excited to laugh about a drone ballet battle.
