Did you know that it can be illegal to have particular apps downloaded on your phone?
A Louisville man was arrested by police after they discovered three phone apps on his mobile phone.
20-year-old Cory C. Todd was pulled over for playing loud music. During routine questioning, it was discovered that there was already a warrant out on Todd. To make matters worse he was driving a vehicle without insurance, in a car that was not registered in his name.
During the incident, police also found three suspicious apps on his mobile phone - PoliceStream, Scanner Radio and Police Scan, apps are used to monitor police transmissions. Even though Police scanners are routinely sold in electronics stores, Federal law prohibits scanners in a car.
Todd was arrested and charged with possession or use of a radio that sends or receives police messages.
