The next Note, according to multiple sources, will perhaps be the first smartphone with 4K display.
Although Samsung has been pretty tight lipped about what’s in store for the Galaxy Note 4’s successor, plenty of concept images have surfaced and even more rumors.
In the newest design concept, the Galaxy Note 5 Edge looks fairly similar to the Galaxy S6 Edge, but it has a much bigger display. The Note 5 also a bit more angular curved edges, and the rear camera is a bit upgraded.
However, none of this means that Samsung is actually developing a Note 5 Edge. But considering the massive crowd pleasure that the S6 Edge proved to be, it would be a bit surprising if their newest Note model didn’t come with Edge version as well.
The next Note, according to multiple sources, will perhaps be the first smartphone with 4K display. That means that it would boast a 3840 x 2160 pixel Ultra HD resolution. It makes sense, considering Android has only just starting supporting 4K panels for the first time.
Obviously, it will come with it's famous stylus, and some rumors are even suggesting that new magnet technology will allow the stylus to be ejected via voice command or gesture, which is so cool.
Under the hood, we are likely to see an insanely fast processor that was developed by Samsung themselves. Probably a Exynos 7420, 64-bit octa-core chip that’s built on 14 nanometer FinFet production processes. And because the CPU is so lightning fast and efficient, it will also consume less battery life - which means the Note 5 might be more thinner and lighter than ever before.
As for the size, that’s up in the air. Some say 6-inches, but I think that’s a bit big. Other’s say 5.7-inches, and frankly I think it’s a bit more realistic, especially with curved edges.

Even though it’s only been whispers, it’s likely we will see the Note 5, if not the Note 5 Edge, as early as September.
