These are the cheapest headphones by Sennheiser that feature a detachable cable and detachable ear cushions. Note that the headphone cable and the ear cushions are the two most likely design elements to break. I have never had a headphone that featured a detachable cable, and I was blown away by how long it lasted. I owned them for 4 years and they remain functional even now, but I decided to purchase the Bose QuietComfort 25 and retire these ones. Unfortunately, even budget headphones now feature bluetooth, and wired headphones are becoming more archaic. Also the sound quality is now rivaled by headphones and earbuds that cost half as much. For that reason, purchase only if you don't require hi-fi audio, but want a headphone that lasts.
