A phone ahead of its time in my humble opinion.

I bought this phone in 2016 and although Google abandoned it after Android Oreo, a little system mod sees this stalwart of smartphones still going strong with me in 2021. I like this phone so much for the screen apart from its performance that I bought a second one dedicated to working with external accessories. If it wasn't for the awful battery performance/capacity this phone would be exceptional value whether new or used. I've been through three different makes since buying this phone but none of them compare to its overall performance. I love it for watching movies with excellent audio output to accompany the outstanding screen. Nowadays it/they take pride of place for important use that does not demand all day standby on battery. Actual communication takes second place at the moment with an undemanding Samsung Galaxy A71 that has a battery that can last two days with ordinary moderate use including the odd YouTube video. The screen detail and lack of stereo speakers make video watching very dull in comparison with the Nexus. The Nexus also feels as solid as any other phone I've had and more so than most. So enough praise. If you're into replacing the operating system this phone could go on for a very long time.
